Pony the cat

In a cozy small and lovely house, not far away,
Lived Pony, the cat, happily in her day.

Her owners, one day, brought home a new friend,
A cute, smiley young Doggy, with a new, soft bed.

Kitty felt anxious, scared to be unwanted any more,
Would her owners still love her like they did before?

She planned and she plotted, her plan was very smart,
To make the dog look bad, her plan was full of art.

She knocked over vases and scattered their favorite chair,
Pony blamed it on Doggy, being sneaky, sly and unfair.

Pony would spill water and steal food every day, 
She wanted to frame Doggy and send him away.

But as days went by, Kitty soon came to see,
Doggy was gentle, as gentle could be.

He'd wag his tail kindly, with big, hopeful eyes,
Just wanting a family, no more goodbyes.

One evening, as Kitty watched Doggy's sad face,
She realized her actions were all a disgrace.

For Doggy was hurting, he'd been left before,
He needed love too, just like her, for sure.

So, Kitty decided, with a heart full of grace,
To give Doggy a chance, a warm, loving place.

Together they played, their owners can now see, 
A cat and a dog, a new family to be.

Now Kitty and Doggy, they're best friends, it's true,
In that cozy house, they had a friendship that was new.

They learned that love multiplies, it never ends,
In a home filled with laughter, with furry best friends.
